Our Story
Founder
BRIAN COLM, P. Eng., Principal
Colm Engineering Ltd. (CEL) was established by Brian Colm, P. Eng. and incorporated in February 2000. Since its inception CEL has been committed to providing quality electrical engineering services to its clients in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Our company’s continuous growth can be attributed to this commitment to service, yielding repeat customers and a reputation for professionalism in the industry. We recognize the importance of teamwork in advancing projects and addressing our clients’ needs. We are committed to building relationships and working with the various stakeholders in taking a project from initial inception to final assumption.
Whether working with the clients’ teams of consultants and professionals, or the relevant municipalities, distribution companies, utility service providers and contractors, we work diligently to fulfill the technical, schedule and budgetary needs of each project.
At CEL we take pride in our ability to service our clients in a wide range of services such as power distribution, substation design, power generation, energy storage and outdoor lighting services for EPC companies, developers, utility companies, and municipalities and more.
Our new national and North American footprint expands our service delivery to both Canada & the US. The engineering group uses a structure for focused project delivery consisting of primarily electrical engineers, designers and technicians to deliver on the organization's objectives related to power systems, energy storage, street lighting, infrastructure planning and more.
The core areas of expertise within the group are outdoor servicing planning, contract administration and project management; power and lighting systems; power generation and substation solutions; battery energy storage solutions.
